Mark Krikorian, Executive Director of Center for Immigration Studies, CIS Fellow Stephen Steinlight, and Frank Gaffney of the Center for Security Policy, talked about recent riots in France involving a large Arabic and Muslim population in several major cities. Among the topics they addressed were the lessons learned from the racial and ethnic tensions for U.S. lawmakers, potential impact on security a immigration policies, perceptions of the West among Arab populations, proposals for future legislation affecting potential immigrants to the U.S., and the potential for similar animosity within Immigrant groups in the U.S. Following their remarks they answered questions from members of the audience.
