In-State Tuition

"If you permit in-state tuition, that's an immigration policy encouraging, at least symbolically, illegal immigration. If you prohibit in-state tuition for illegal aliens, that itself is an immigration policy. So. . .state and local governments are forced to adopt some kind of, develop some kind of, immigration policy, simply because the federal government has been so completely ineffective in doing its job."

- Mark Krikorian, CIS Executive Director

"It’s bad enough that American kids are already forced to compete with the whole world to get into and secure funding to attend competitive colleges and universities, but creating special breaks for people who have no legal right to live here is even worse."

- David Seminara, CIS Fellow
