Hudson Institute Debate Video: Immigration Reform

Originally Aired on November 30, 2005 by C-SPAN

Mark Krikorian, Executive Director of the Center for Immigration Studies, spoke on issues related to dual citizenship and implications of foreign worker programs on illegal immigration. John Fonte of the Hudson Institute outlined the highlights of his recent paper on the problem of immigrant dual allegiance and the politics of immigration reform. In the paper, he asked whether the U.S. should continue to permit the rapid increase in dual allegiance that would inevitably occur if proposed immigration legislation we enacted. Respondents then talked about Mr. Fonte's paper, conservative ideas about immigration policy, and recent proposals for immigration reform. Following their remarks the panelists responded to questions and comments from members of the audience. Mr. O'Sullivan served as moderator.
