    About the Author

    Steven A. Camarota is Director of Research at the Center for Immigration Studies. He holds a Ph.D. in Public Policy Analysis from the University of Virginia. Dr. Camarota has testified before Congress and written extensively on the effects of low-skilled immigration on American workers. His most recent works from the Center are Immigrants in the United States 1998: A Snapshot of America's Foreign-born Population and The Wages of Immigration: The Effect on the Low-Skilled Labor Market.
