Description:
The Center for Immigration Studies is a think tank which examines and critiques the impact of immigration on the United States.

Job Title:
Public Affairs Assistant

Salary:
Negotiable

Days/Hours:
10-15 Hours/Week during school, full- or part-time during summer

Qualifications:
Computer skills. Prior office experience. Freshman or Sophomore preferred.

Job Description:
Assist with public affairs and outreach activities - compile distribution lists for CIS publications, arrange media appearances for scholars & experts.

Perform basic research for program development - research foundations and other prospective donors, prepare mailings, etc.

Provide routine office assistance - answer public inquiries, clip newspapers, file, and answer phones.

Opportunity to learn about the immigration issue and how research organizations and other public policy groups operate in DC.
